We finally have internet!!!

Finally, today the phone/internet people came and installed our internet today!! Yay!! But everything wasn't just peachy, b/c after they left, i couldn't get online. So i had to call the company we went through and spend about 45mins on the phone w/them trying to figure it all out. This whole process would be much easier if the things you had to do online were in English...
However, it's all in Kanji and though I've taken some Japanese, Kanji is a different animal. Kanji is the symbols they use to write in. I just learned some words (written out just like this) and how to put a few sentences together. Either way, it's finally working. Of course, since it's working, now our phone (through the internet) is not. We can't figure out what the matter is, and it's after office hours. It worked earlier in the evening, before we messed with stuff trying to set up the wireless router. We've tried puttings things back the way they were, but alas, that didn't work. So no phone calls stateside, or here for that matter, tonight.
So on to an update
Well, as many of you have heard, I'm pregnant w/ our second child. The baby is due around Dec 19ish. I have my first dr's appt next friday and we'll have an ultrasound then as well, so we're pretty excited. I'm too early to find out gender, that probably won't happen til around Aug or so, b/c thats when the next regularly scheduled ultrasound will be (around 20-22wks preggo). So with this pregnancy comes fatigue and nausea, though it seems to be worse this time. I'm not sure if thats b/c i don't have to good meds that I had last time (they gave me the good stuff right from the get go), and this time i only have vitamin b6 and phenergan (for the time being), or if it's worse b/c i'm also chasing around a lil munchkin or if it's just plain out worse.
Matthew is doing well, taking on a lot of stuff around the house when I get really nauseous. He's been great about cooking and doing dishes and such. He's busy with work, he has quite a large unit out here. Much larger than his previous. Theres another career planner w/ him though, so thats nice. It's just a matter of figuring out whose doing what.
Max is doing great too. He's getting so big! Gets into everything these days. He's learned to climb on the coffee table, couch, some chairs and the ottoman that goes w/ my glider (which of course glides too), so we're constantly after him to get off something or to be careful. He's also gotten very infatuated with pushing buttons. Primarily on the TV, reciever and CD player. He gets in trouble several times a day messing with those. But he's sooo stubborn!!! Which, yes, I know he got honestly, from his dad and myself. Poor guy didn't have a chance w/ that trait! He has 11 or 12 teeth now. I'm losing count. I know he has at least 3 molars now and 8 teeth in the front, but another could have popped up in back recently.
I'm currently uploading pics to the web, so I'll be emailing out the link when I'm finished so everyone can see what we've been up to and see our apt, cars, etc.
We've started helping out with a Young Marine unit out here now, intermittenly that is. We joined the Foster YM's, but haven't been to too many meetings yet. Last wk they went ice skating (yea, here in Okinawa!) and we figured since im preggo I probably shouldn't (though i wanted to!) so we just stayed home. We go the meetings that we can (when I'm not feeling awful and something else isn't going on). It's nothing like Havelock though. Just isn't the same. They meet on sat from 8am-2pm, so it's a lot longer meeting, and hard to do w/ Max. The unit is a lot bigger than what we're used to, but the kids and the staff all seem to be great and hard working. The CO is a Sgt, so thats a lil odd, but hey, thats the staff they have. They are working hard to get the unit to where it needs to be.
So last wk was a big wk for us. With Matt's mom's birthday, my birthday and then Mothers Day. Matt and Max got me a spa pedicure (which was awesome!!!) from the lil spa on base. I've never had a pedicure of anykind, so the whole experience was new. I felt so pampered afterward! lol, some won't believe this, but i have flowers painted on my toes. yeah, me, w/ pinky/burgundy nail polish and lil white flowers. i can't believe it myself. I even took a few pics to prove it. I'll try and get them posted next time I'm up here. I also got a big chocolate heart w/ candies inside it for Mothers day (yeah, just what I need). We went to church Sunday at the contemporary service on Futemna again. We tried a Church of Christ service the sunday prior, went to the building and room in the Chapel pamphlet, at the said time, but there was no one there. not even a preacher. So we left and went to Shuri Castle (historical landmark/tourist attraction) and toured it and then went to Babies R Us and Toys R Us in Naha (both are SOOOOO EXPENSIVE!!!). Anyway, we like the contemporary service and Max seems to enjoy the nursery. Everyone there is very nice and friendly. Both times we've been though, the reg preacher hasn't done a sermon. THe first time we went it was another member (and it was on Evoluion...lol it was kinda odd, but a good sermon. They guy is a science teacher and basically told us way evolution doesn't hold up, etc) and this past sunday the preachers wife did the sermon. And all the mommies got roses : ) So I got to feel all special again. Except, when we have coffee and cookies afterward, we forgot my rose in the fellowship hall : (
Well, i think I've written quite a bit, Matt has even asked me if i'm writing a novel, so i think it's time to put an end to this. I'm going to try and get some more pics uploaded, as well as get some up here tomorrow. I hope all is well w/ everyone and that this satisfies Some people (Sheila!! Do ya miss me yet?) in their longing for an update. : ) : )
